Important Keystone Exam Information and Updates

Dear Parents,
The Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments designed to evaluate proficiency in academic content. Beginning with the class of 2017, students must demonstrate proficiency on the Algebra 1 exam to graduate.
The Algebra 1 Exam is broken into 2 modules. Both modules contain multiple-choice questions (60%-75%) and constructed- response questions (25%-40%). A graphing calculator is allowed for use on the entire exam.
The Keystone Algebra exam is an end-of-course assessment, however we are required by the state to assess on May 13, 2014. As we continue to study Algebra in math class and learn new content, it is important for students to revisit the content that will be assessed on the Keystone. I am providing weekly Keystone review problems for my students. I will give the students the weekly problems of about 8 problems per week, and collect them on Friday's. The students will be provided with feedback on the weekly problem sets.
The Upper Moreland School Board policy requires that a student score proficient on the Keystone exam to move onto the next math course, Geometry. I am requesting that you ensure that your son or daughter is completing the weekly problem sets. Also know that there will be additional Algebra Keystone support after school beginning in April.

Below you will find some links to videos for you to review so if you get stuck in class, no fears come check out my wiki space!!
